Duties and responsibilities
- Preaching and Teaching
- Deliver sermons that apply biblical teachings to everyday life
- Administer the sacraments
- Pastoral Care and Counselling
- Lead pastoral care efforts to address the spiritual needs of the congregation, in collaboration with church Session, Pastoral team, and Staff
- Perform pastoral responsibilities, including home visits, counselling, prayers, and officiating at weddings, funerals, and hospital visitations as needed
- Leadership
- Collaborate with the Session and Ministry Leaders to provide spiritual direction in line with the church’s vision and mission
- Develop the ministries, and guiding them according to biblical teachings
- Evangelism and Discipleship
- Develop programs for evangelism and discipleship
Qualifications and Personal Characteristics
- Experience in full-time Pastoral role
- A deep, personal relationship with God
- A people-centric personality
- An academic degree in relevant biblical studies
- A profound sense of God’s calling
- Trained within a reformed tradition, with a preference for the Bible-Presbyterian denomination
