Thank God for providing each individual with some unique talent. Within Herald B-P Church, we have many ladies who are good in cooking, floral arrangement and crafts-making, and the idea of sharing these skills with others led to the formation of the Ladies Fellowship.
Praise the Lord, five ladies volunteered to serve the Lord in this new Fellowship, and a committee was formed in December 2011. Together with Pastor Bob as the advisor, our vision was to use this fellowship group to reach out to non-believing friends and at the same time to have fellowship with and edify one another, strengthening the bond of concern for one another (Phil 2:1-2,5; 1 John 1:3; 1 Cor 14:26).
Indeed, as the Committee members planned and carried out the programmes, we never failed to see God’s blessings upon us. We were thrilled with the average attendance of 28 members and friends at our meetings. At least 13 friends came through our invitations to the meetings, and one came to join us at our worship service.
For the years ahead, we pray that God will continue to enable more (both form the English and Mandarin congregations) to join us in making opportunities to reach out to non-believing family members and friends as we plan, learn and have fellowship together in Christ.
