Looking Back with Gratitude

Today, as we celebrate Herald’s 22nd Anniversary, we thank God for His unwavering faithfulness and abundant provision. Over the years, He has met every need of our church and the gospel work both here in Singapore and in the mission fields overseas. We rejoice in the blessing of a permanent place of worship – our sanctuaries, fully paid for – freeing us from the uncertainty of moving around and allowing us to focus on serving God’s purpose. Job Vacancy: Pastor

Herald Bible-Presbyterian Church, founded in 2004 is in search of a Pastor in a vibrant family church of more than one hundred congregants.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Preaching and Teaching
    • Deliver sermons that apply biblical teachings to everyday life
    • Administer the sacraments
  • Pastoral Care and Counselling
    • Lead pastoral care efforts to address the spiritual needs of the congregation, in collaboration with church Session, Pastoral team, and Staff
    • Perform pastoral responsibilities, including home visits, counselling, prayers, and officiating at weddings, funerals, and hospital visitations as needed
  • Leadership
    • Collaborate with the Session and Ministry Leaders to provide spiritual direction in line with the church’s vision and mission
    • Develop the ministries, and guiding them according to biblical teachings
  • Evangelism and Discipleship
    • Develop programs for evangelism and discipleship

Qualifications and Personal Characteristics

  • Experience in full-time Pastoral role
  • A deep, personal relationship with God
  • A people-centric personality
  • An academic degree in relevant biblical studies
  • A profound sense of God’s calling
  • Trained within a reformed tradition, with a preference for the Bible-Presbyterian denomination
