Victorious Living

“Whatever is born of God overcometh the world; and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” (1 John 5:4).

Only those who have been born of God are the only true overcomers. The Bible says Christians are overcomers because we have overcome the world and are known as victors who have defeated the world. It is in John’s writings that Christians are addressed as the ones who have overcome and conquered the world. In the past, human beings were never thought to be capable of becoming conquerors. Only the Greek gods and goddesses were believed to be conquerors and unconquerable. The name Nike belonged to a Greek goddess who was believed to be unconquerable. Loving God

In the Gospel of John, the Apostle John wrote to both believers of Christ, and unbelievers. He was addressing people who were very skeptical about Jesus, His words and deeds. As we read the twelfth chapter of the Gospel of John, we need to consider three main events which had, or were taking place.
